Seems my sensor is under water

Code: Select all
Z-Wave                          received "Front Porch Humidity" sensor update to 109.48%

Never seen this before. It's a Zooz Multisensor ZSE40. Granted, not rated for outdoor use, but I have it in a sheltered location under an eave.

Not really a complaint, just an observation. Going to pull the battery and see if the readings get more sensible.

Re: Seems my sensor is under water

I have seen Z-Wave devices report invalid sensor values before, but don't think I've ever seen one over 100%. :)

I'm curious if a reset helped. If the battery removal didn't, then try excluding/re-including it.

Re: Seems my sensor is under water

After a reset it shows 85%, while my bloomSky says 80 and the Dark Sky web site says 66%.

Notably my BloomSky is in the sun and the sensor is in the shade, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is now an accurate reading.
