I don't know whether optimizing could have anything to do with what you're seeing with respect to disabled devices, but I'd suggest that optimizing once a day is overkill. Unless you're making routine changes to your network devices (including, excluding, moving them) I don't think you're gaining anything by optimizing.

My guess on the randomly disabled devices front is that the controller is getting into a bad state and/or is failing.

Thanks Dave. I'll turn off that schedule for a while and see what happens.

Indigo 7.3 (and 7.3.1) are now available which has extensive new logic to try to avoid disabling Indigo communication with devices that are misreported by the Z-Wave interface.
