Anyone have any recommendations on where inside the standard DSC panel box to install the IT-100? I don't seem to find ANY holes that line up with the holes in the card...

I think I had the same problem with the EVL-4. I just drilled new holes of the correct size, in my case on the side wall.

Yeah, I've got two that are close but one is too small so I can probably just drill it out a bit before mounting. Just seems surprising that DSC would have a TON of holes in their case but none that works with their own expansion board...

All the side holes should fit The IT-100 in the standard PC5003C cabinet:

Sides. Yep. Not my first choice but that'll probably work.

Ah yeah the backpanel is designed for the actual alarm panel, the escort x10 model (I wonder how many people still use that), the PC5204 module, etc. The “thin” boards like the PC5108 zone expanders, IT100, envisalink are all designer to be on the sides unless you use a case specific to their design like the PC5001c for the zone expanders.

Isn’t that exciting?

Are you using stranded wire for the keybus wiring? I'm having a devil of a time finding 20-22 gauge 4 conductor solid wire in stock around here...

I used solid wire, standard alarm 4-conductor wire. No reason why stranded would not work but I would never be able to feed a stranded wire into my overcrowded keybus connector.

Yeah my wiring is stranded.. cheap crap as I had a very tight budget when I first moved in here. That said I’ve had no issues with it at all. That said when I do decide to move somewhere else I’ll definitely go for solid cable, as monstergerm said trying to feed extra wires into a keybus connection is a nightmare!

I’m amazed you can’t find the right stuff though.. when I was searching for the right stuff for the smoke detectors I couldn’t find anything here at a reasonable price, but it kept showing up in the US. I bet if I searched now it’d be AWOL.

Yeah mines side mounted as well. Think it’s solid core.
