enable chime

hi travis (and/or anyone else who may know!),

is there a way in your plugin to enable/disable the dsc door chime function? or, is this a simple keypress seq i can do with your plugin?

i'd like to enable the chime at night.

thanks!

Re: enable chime

hoping that there is a discrete command for 'chime on' 'chime off'.. anybody know? or is it only a toggle?

thanks for the reply.

Re: enable chime

To my knowledge it is only a toggle. You could always check the current state before taking the action.

Re: enable chime

i see i can access chime enable state from a trigger dialogue, but can i script it? i'd rather write a script to read it when it changes and make decisions, than have various indigo triggers for each state. do you happen to know if this is addressable via AppleScript?

thanks again.

Re: enable chime

also, i get this when sending command '*4':

Code: Select all
IT-100/Envisalink Error (027): API Invalid Characters in Command
DSC Alarm Error                 Received system error after sending command, aborting.

i am using a pc-5401 i believe. 10 years at least now. does this board not do this command?

thx

edit: yes, i don't see the chime commands in the 5401 install man. hm. would this be avail on the envisalink 4?

Re: enable chime

v2.0.6 of the plugin now has enable/disable keypad chime commands that monitor the chime state and therefore are not just toggles. As far as I know they only work with Envisalink modules since the other interfaces do not send chime state update commands.
