Re: DSC Alarm Plugin error message

Has it been working or are you a new user to the plugin?

Re: DSC Alarm Plugin error message

Sounds like the envisalink is already in use by something else.. is it connected to an app or something?

Re: DSC Alarm Plugin error message

New to using the DSC plugin. Evisilink 4 was just recently connected to the alarm panel.
I am using the Eyezon iOS App and the web browser interface. They are both working.
Password is 12 digit alphanumeric with special characters.

Re: DSC Alarm Plugin error message

I reset the password to "user" and it works. Thanks!
Is there a way to reset the default password?

Re: DSC Alarm Plugin error message

The EyezOn account login is different from the envisalink device login. For Envisalink-4 the password can be 10 characters max. This is the password you enter in the DSC plugin config dialog.

To change the Envisalink password, log into the device through its built-in web server using its IP address (preferably a fixed IP address) and change the password there.

Here is the info from the Envisalink TPI:

Enivsalink 3 vs Envisalink 4 Difference
The Envisalink 3 only supports 6 ASCII digits for a password but the Envisalink 4 supports 10.

IMPORTANT: Envisalink Application Firewall
As of Envisalink 4 (1.0.102) and Envisalink 3 (1.12.180) the Envisalink has an internal firewall that will block all TPI connections that originate outside of the network segment it resides upon. This is to protect users who expose their Envisalinks to the public Internet either by mistake or ignorance. This feature can be disabled by changing the default user's password from “user” to any other password, 4 characters or longer.
