Are you sure you're using the latest client (b10)?

Re: Smartphone Radar - Smartphone presence detection (Update

Strange. I can see 3 events in beta 9. All Phones Home, Away, etc. I haven't had a chance to upgrade to beta 10 yet.

Odd - and the plugin is enabled? Try restarting the server and client.

Yes the plugin is enabled.

I had tried everything I could think of before posting. Re-started Indigo server, reloaded plugin, made sure plugin was up to date, rebooted computer, delete smartphone device and add an new one, nothing has helped, hence my original post.

So for fun, I just tried rebooting again.

Still no Joy :(

Playing around tonight again and it's weird. SPR picks up the phone on fresh start of the plug in or a newly added device and instantly recognizes when i turn the wifi off, then starts the increment timer. Just won't pick up when the phone's wifi turns back on unless i restart the plug in. So it's getting some info :? lol

Your router seems to be logging the sign off's but the sign ons. You have to watch the router log to see what your router is sending to SPR. If SPR doesn't see your IP or MAC address mentioned then it will not reset the timer. You may need to increase the log-level. At a minimum you need it to at least log when the phone sign's on and off. Ideally you'd want some connection logging in there too.

Ok. I figured it out. Read instructions completely (saying to myself). lol. I didn't do the port forward instructions for Snow Leopard.duh! Anywho, it seems to be working. SPR doesn't recognize the phone on the network until I look at a webpage then it instantly turns the variable true. Even checking email doesn't trigger it. I'll keep reading.

Thanks again for your patience, plug-in and help.

Todd

Yes.

Well, dang. It looks like a fix didn't get into the b10 build that was supposed to. Keep an eye out for a new build that fixes it.

If you're experiencing this issue, send an email to indigo DASH support AT perceptiveautomation DOT com and let me know. I'll send you an internal build of the Client that fixes it.

Re: Smartphone Radar - Smartphone presence detection (Update

Travis,
Is there a way to manually change a state of a phone device? I have a number of devices setup as guests that trigger a company mode and they all automatically end up as "home" after a reboot of indigoserver. Is there a good way to change them all to "vacation"?

Re: Smartphone Radar - Smartphone presence detection (Update

Hello all,

Can anybody help me with an AppleScript which calculate the actual leaving time from Smartphone Radar?
The default "Minutes Till Away" is set to 2 Minutes in the plugin.
I discovered that are about 6 minutes difference between the SPR leaving Variable and the real time.
So, I made an AppleScript which calculate the SPR Time (a variable) - 6 but I got an error in AppleScript that the Time can't be set to a number (Can’t make "11:28" into type number.).

I think I'm doing something wrong :-)

tell application "IndigoServer"
set AwayJohnTime to value of variable "AwayJohnTime"
set value of variable "AwayJohnTimeMin6" to {AwayJohnTime - 6} as string

end tell

Or is there another more simple solution in Indigo?

Thanks for the help and kind regards,

John

Re: Smartphone Radar - Smartphone presence detection (Update

I have three of the new little Airport Expresses -- they work great and have much better range and connectivity than the Gen 1 APE. I *think* I've enrolled them in SPR by IP address and "public", but when I'm in my media room, for instance, my phone falls off SPR. Do they behave differently or am I missing something?

Re: Smartphone Radar - Smartphone presence detection (Update

Hi,

Did you specify all the 3 new Airports in SPR?
In the Plugin config, you can specify the AP IP addresses and passwords,
separated by comma.
Is the AP range in your media room good enough? Maybe you can install this AP in another side of the room.
Are they connected with each other with an ethernet cable and is it one AP network?

Greetings,

John
