Hey! UK home automation devices

Anyone familiar with the automation products from Hey! ?

https://www.heyimhome.co.uk/
https://www.heyimhome.co.uk/app

Looks like a company based in Warrington, UK offering app controlled devices over Wi-Fi? Lights, cameras and sensor devices. Integration with Siri, Alexa and Google assistant. Inexpensive and don't appear to require a hub. I wonder if they could be controlled with Indigo?

There’s no mention of an api for it.

I’d be using one of the integrations it already supports, and tying them with Indigo.

Their website says they're based on the Tuya platform, and there's this: https://github.com/PaulAnnekov/tuyaha

So it looks possible to write python scripts or a plugin to work with them.

Hi

The Best library I have found is this one

(should add this is for local device control - no cloud/internet needed)

https://github.com/jasonacox/tinytuya

Is python 2.7 compatible and relatively up-to date.

Have it working on a single RGB strip device that was recently gifted to household. Was considering a basic tuya plugin, but, seems authentication soon to be difficult (see the good GitHub read me - need developer account once setup to get a single DeviceID details). This all works quite well (although is a bit messy and outside any plugin) but tuya now limits free account to 3 months only.

& replacing/Flashing devices with Tasmota seems the increasing trend, with mqtt control then possible I understand

Given the above - probably will just replace my single rgb controller with z-wave rgb model...

Glenn
