Weinor electric awning

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to automate our Weinor awning ? It has a rain, wind, sun sensor which is very unreliable and I'm going to disconnect it. Manual operation is via a remote control called BiEasy 5M. Unfortunately, RFXCOM doesn't log any signals from the remote so I guess its using a different frequency range. I would love to get this awning under control !

Thanks,

Andrew.

Andrew - a spot of googling suggests this is an IO control compatible device, which is also used by Velux and some Somfy kit. My crude approach for Velux was to get a KLF 100 interface and have a fibaro dual relay trigger the open and close inputs. In theory if yours is iocontrol compatible you may be able to pair it with the Velux device. Downside is with windows you can only switch one group of devices, so I needed three KLF100’s and three Fibaro’s to control and individual room.

Velux have a new gateway that seems to be more functional and has an API that may work for you, and I will consider upgrading if my hardware I would look into it.

You can pick up the KLF100 on eBay from time to time.
