Mine is losing WiFi as well. Completely going off line. Think it should do what my rPis do and auto restart if lost network connection.

I'm on 0.8.5 and just seen that both next pre releases have this functionality. I need to upgrade

Pre release v0.9 looks great but doesn't appear to work on nodemcu

I just flashed a NodeMCU with the pre-release v0.9 and it seems to work for me (albeit it has not LED's attached), I am not going to chance an over the air update until the lights are ready to come down. It works fine with the plugin, and the new effects and palettes show up as expected. I will have a play with segment support but no promises depending on how much effort it will be, but I will also add "Output Diagnostic Data to Log" option as I am not sure how useful having WIFI strength as a device state is. Not a huge effort to do that, I just need to figure out elegantly handling different WLED versions and the associated API differences, so let me know if the approach of dumping that data on request to the log works for troubleshooting.

The Wifi strength only shows as 50% and I am about 1.5m from a Unifi AP

I just posted a new version that pushes the WIFI data to the Indigo Event log if the plugin debugging toggle is enabled. This is really quick and dirty but will handle multiple WLED versions. The 0.9.0 has a number of new options in the API that are yet to be documented so I will hold fire on other changes (I am doing some other housekeeping).

https://github.com/neilkplugins/WLED-in ... .0.5-alpha

I will also add a test strip to the NodeMCU I have just flashed with 0.9.0 and let you know.

Thanks,
Neil

Got 0.8.6 working to cope with lost network connection. Not sure why 9 didn't work but also couldn't add more than 1 extra segment which wad main reason for upgrading.

This is my squashed connection in an IP68 box and the new waterproof connection I soldered on to allow the cables to be separated.

I plan to replace the two boxes I have with one big one in the summer and get it as bit neater. Plus add another 200 bulbs on!!

Have any of you had issues with all the pixels flashing randomly? when I turn off the pixels in wled the flashing stops, but when I turn them on it starts back up. I have an appropriately sized power supply and all my pixes are showing color properly. the data signal for my pixels is coming off d4 on the nodemcu. any thoughts/fixes?

Lights flashing randomly is normally a data issue when it comes to ws281x LEDs.
I'm not using Nodemcu stuff, my gear is all E.131 based with just under 7k LEDs on the house. I had this kind of issue with some of my receivers with a bad data connection so I'd start by looking there.
