Airconditioning

Hi,
I'm considering the installation of airconditioning in three rooms. When I look at units like LG, I see that they can be controlled using a remote.
Of course, I'd like to do this through indigo, but how? It's surprisingly hard (for me :) ) to find good information about integration possibilities.
I'm curious how everyone here has integrated their airco into their systems. Any info much appreciated!
Mark

Best regards,

Mark

Re: Airconditioning

In the USA, most air-conditioning systems are large units serving multiple rooms (or the whole house) and are controlled by a separate thermostat device. Many of these are "smart" and have an Indigo plugin for them.

In other parts of the world, single-room mini-split systems are more common, and these usually have an IR, RF, or Wifi remote. I know some users have had success controlling these as well.

Look through here and see if any of these might work for you: http://www.indigodomo.com/pluginstore/category/15/

Re: Airconditioning

I have a couple of Dakin units in the uk, and if you get the wifi module (not all units can take it) you can control via IP
