HR & HA

Rather cryptic subject line and I'm not sure exactly where this topic should be on the boards. I'm sure Matt/Jay will move it to a more appropriate spot if need be.

Anyway, to decode the topic; HR = Ham Radio, and HA = Home Automation. The question is, can these co-exist? I'm a ham but haven't been on the air in a long time. But I'm currently assembling a HF station (Elecraft KX3, wire or portable antenna, no more than 10 W output) which is almost ready for the smoke test. My setup will sometimes be run off the same computer that does Indigo and Security Spy, while at other times it will be more portable and be run off a totally separate MacBook Air in a different room. No doubt there are other hams who use Indigo to control their HA. Wondering if they have had any experience with transmission interfering with Insteon or Z-Wave devices? And of course, do you find your HA devices creating noise on received signals? If so, what have you done to minimize the interference?

Thanks & 73, de NS1X
