Remote temperature monitoring suggestions

I've got a few locations around the house and yard that I need to monitor the temperature. I don't need thermostatic control, just to know what the temp is in these areas. I'm looking for something wireless and battery powered (although plug-in would work if nothing else is available) that can talk to Indigo as I would use those temp readings as triggers for various things.

I know I can build what I need with an ESP or D1 mini and a temp sensor, but time is short these days and if possible I'd just like to order what I need and set it up. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Terry

I'm not sure of Oregon Scientific are still selling their outdoor temp sensors, but if so then those with an RFXrec433 are a pretty good combo.

These are "weather resistant" - https://www.amazon.com/Oregon-Scientifi ... B000I2Q1P8

The also work with the RFPlayer if you don't want to get an RFXrec433,

You need to wire in a 1 wire temp sensor but these are cheap and tiny. The 2 combined are Probably the Quickest way to get direct zwave temperature into indigo.

I've used the 1 wire, but looks like they have been updated...

Just saw this. These aren’t weather resistant, but pretty inexpensive if you assign a dollar value to soldering a DHT-whatever to an ESP8266 and configuring it (which works well but takes precious time). Monoprice 115902 Z-Wave Home... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRYFE90?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I rummaged through my parts bin and found a few extra Sonoff basic switches and some 1-wire sensors. I flashed them with Tasmota and soldered on the temp sensors. I did everything while watching Monday night football. The sensors/switch talk MQTT to Indigo and work well. Just in time too since it’s freaking snowing in Alabama this morning!

It was “free” since I had everything laying around, but would have been less than $10USD each if I had to buy them. Probably 15 minutes each for the build and configure. I’ll post some photos of everything and give some more details later tonight.
