Geofency issues with ddns and new router

Hi all
Recently changed from a sky Q router to a netgear that doesn’t support ddns updates itself.

So I have a small Mac software tool doing it for me.

Challenge I seem to have is that if my iPhone connects to Wi-Fi before geofency sends the ‘I’m home’ webhook then geofency can’t connect to the server because it can’t connect to my .ddns.net address on the local network.

Not really sure what to do aside from maybe have a second identical webhook that sends to the local IP address but that feels a bit unnecessary.

Any suggestions how to crack this? Had a brief look at static routes but my router seems to only allow it at an ip level, I could see how I’d add in the xxx.ddns.net

Cheers
Noel

Hi Peter
Thanks for that, looks like my DM200 isn’t on the list, there’s a software update available for it so I’ll give that a try see if I get any luck.

Alternative is to run it in modem only mode but then I need another device as a router and my aim was less devices not more!

Thanks for replying
