How can I control my motorised window shades from Indigo?

Hi All,

I have several motorised window shades. They are "dumb" and usually they are controlled via a dumb switch. If you press one button - they go up. And with another button, they go down. I have Heltun switches https://www.heltun.com/z-wave-relay-switch-quinto which I use to make them smart. Basically, they act as a z-wave relay which can be controlled by Indigo.

Question - How can I control it from Indigo properly? I would like to be able to know the current state of the shade - is it open or closed or partially opened/closed? I would also like to say something like this to Siri - close window shades in the living room to 60%

Currently, if I want to partially open the shade I have to fully close it and then "press and hold" the relay for several seconds.

How can I achieve this?

Hi,

We are using the Fibaro Roller shutters.
https://www.fibaro.com/en/products/smar ... r-shutter/

They are working perfect with dumb motorised window shades.

For the Indigo HomeKit connection we use the famous HomeKitLink Siri plugin.
Hey Siri "Window Shades Kitchen 50%" works very good!

In my case I already have relays. I have too many shutters so this fibaro device will cost me too much :(

Have a look at Shelly2.5 which can be configured as roller shutter.
I have a mixed setup of Fibaro/Shelly and works fine

Guglez, I could probably add some functionality to the Zwave Window Controller plugin for this.

You’d have to set some travel times into the plugin by trial and error. ie 10 seconds for full travel therefore 50% open is hold-for-5-seconds.

It won’t take me long to do, I just need to sit down at it.

I’ll see how I am fixed next week.
