Re: Robotic Vacuums

I’m presuming the answer will be no, but on the Tuya app I can assign room numbers for the ones that the bot has mapped out and then tell it to go clean room.

Would it be possible to implement this within indigo? It’d then allow me to map that functionality to HomeKit or Shortcuts to tell Siri to clean a specific room.

Re: Robotic Vacuums

Unfortunately there's nothing in the API for the device to get room data or send room commands.

Re: Robotic Vacuums

Hum.. I just realised that the action to start the vac isn’t actually working.

I’ve enabled all the logging options in settings but nothing appears beyond it mentioning the action group has been run.

Any ideas?

Re: Robotic Vacuums

Here's the logs with everything turned on as best I'm aware. Running the action group doesn't actually trigger anything in the logs, the resulting entries are just the updates that appear in the log regardless:

Re: Robotic Vacuums

Perfect, that's working well! I can't believe I hadn't actually tried it from Indigo!

Out of interest, is there an API call for stopping the vac without it to dock? EG it's just ran over something nasty and I don't want it spreading it everywhere..

Re: Robotic Vacuums

There isn’t currently a stop command, but the charge command will send the vac straight back to its dock. I could implement a stop command if you want…

If it’s not hard to do it’d be very handy!
