Re: Unknown LRR Message

There are two messages you provided in this thread. For reference, this is the link to the document from AlarmDecoder that defines the various codes and what they mean. This is what I use, plus my own panel testing, to understand what the various codes mean. Unfortunately, I don't have every device so I can't be 100% sure on every possible code.

The first message you posted, !LRR:003,1,CID_3401,ff is a user message. I am guessing it's related to arming/disarming but haven't see it before. Any chance you (or anyone else in this forum) can recall the actions you (or another user) took on the panel to generate that message? If so, I can easily add that event once I understand what it means.

The second message you posted !LRR:002,1,CID_3000,ff is odd. The code if "000" isn't defined. Is this happening frequently? Or was it a one-off?

Re: Unknown LRR Message

Had a system LRR failure. After disarming the system, the following message was displayed in the Indigo log. Not sure if the two are connected.

AD2USB Alarm Interface Alarm partition:1 set to:OPEN by:002
AD2USB Alarm Interface Warning Unknown LRR Message - please post this message in User Forum "Unknown LRR Messages": !LRR:103,0,CID_3353,ff
AD2USB Alarm Interface Warning Unknown LRR Message - please post this message in User Forum "Unknown LRR Messages": !LRR:103,0,CID_3353,ff

FYI at this point.

Re: Unknown LRR Message

Thanks. The message !LRR:103,0,CID_3353,ff is indeed a "353" event code which is defined as a "Long Range Radio xmitter fault" as you predicted. I can easily add this the to the file of known messages. The digit "3" that precedes "353" is either the when this error was detected or restored. That is the part I don't know.

For these events there are often 2 LRR messages. One would be !LRR:103,0,CID_3353,ff and the other !LRR:103,0,CID_1353,ff (bold added for emphasis). The 1 (or 3) the precedes "353" would indicate the start of the error and the 3 (or 1) would indicate the correction of the error. If you run these Unix/MacOS command lines while in the Logs directory (e.g. cd /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2022.2/Logs/com.berkinet.ad2usb) can you see if both LRR messages were sent and if so what was the chronological order? My ask to to determine if the message you posted is the only message, or if multiple "353" messages occurred that can tell us the correct code for the error and the code (if one exists) for the correction of the error.

Code: Select all
grep "LRR" panelMessages.log

-or to show only 353 messages-

Code: Select all
grep "LRR" panelMessages.log | grep '353'

Re: Unknown LRR Message

I'm thinking it may be an IP lease issue. No action requested at this time. Thanks for your help!
