bundled ffmpeg error on 10.13 - fix

Great plug-in, Glenn!

Just posting this here if anyone is having problems with the bundled ffmpeg with older versions of macOS.

It wouldn't run on my 10.13 machine, got a dyld: cannot load 'ffmpeg' (load command 0x80000034 is unknown) error.

Solution: replace it with a static build from https://evermeet.cx/ffmpeg/.

Just copy it over here:
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2023.2/Plugins/HomeKitLink-Siri.indigoPlugin/Contents/Packages/homekitlink_ffmpeg/ffmpeg_binaries/x86/

Thanks!

Thats interesting doesn’t work on ?High Sierra — you can likely find the dynlib and install to fix.. but a new ffmpeg will work..

But for reference:
https://github.com/homebridge/ffmpeg-fo ... e/releases

Copy and pasting the appropriate build from above for your version of OSX and Silicon (apple vs intel) probably a better option. The above includes the audio library that is needed by Homekit for audio processing. *it’s not included in standard libraries. Hence if any camera audio streams will fail.

Have a look at the releases and see what works for you. Technically as I’m using a self-created pypi library for homekit I could include other versions…. (currently include 2 latest for apple and intel silicon). Issue with more versions is quite large in size.
