Z-Wave Interpreter - Version 0.4.3

This new plugin has just been released to the Indigo Plugin Store: Z-Wave Interpreter

The Z-Wave Interpreter plugin provides a way to Interpret Z-Wave messages received and sent by Indigo. It provides a user friendly interpretation of the Z-Wave messages so that a user doesn't have to interpret the raw message in hex code form.

To start interpreting, go to the plugin’s main menu and choose the Select Devices to Interpret… menu item.

When the dialogue opens, select where you want the interpretations to go (one or more):
  • Indigo Event log
  • Plugin Log
  • A user specified log file

Then either select All Z-Wave Devices or Selected Z-Wave Devices and use CMD-Click to select one or more devices, then Close and you should be good to go.

Example Output:
Z-Wave Interpreter Debug 2021-07-16 13:42:30.198 RCVD: '[ 01 0C 00 04 00 02 06 31 05 01 22 00 F0 6F ]' from 'AërQ - Temperature' [Node: 2]
Class: 'Multilevel Sensor [v11]', Command: 'Report', Sensor: 'Air Temperature', Value: '24.0º C'

Z-Wave Interpreter Debug 2021-07-16 13:42:30.200 RCVD: '[ 01 0C 00 04 00 02 06 31 05 05 02 00 2E 95 ]' from 'AërQ - Temperature' [Node: 2]
Class: 'Multilevel Sensor [v11]', Command: 'Report', Sensor: 'Humidity', Value: '46%'

Z-Wave Interpreter Debug 2021-07-16 16:30:04.108 RCVD: '[ 01 0C 00 04 00 02 06 31 05 01 22 01 02 9F ]' from 'AërQ - Temperature' [Node: 2]
Class: 'Multilevel Sensor [v11]', Command: 'Report', Sensor: 'Air Temperature', Value: '25.8º C'

Z-Wave Interpreter Debug 2021-07-16 16:30:04.109 RCVD: '[ 01 0C 00 04 00 02 06 31 05 0B 22 00 92 04 ]' from 'AërQ - Temperature' [Node: 2]
Class: 'Multilevel Sensor [v11]', Command: 'Report', Sensor: 'Dew Point', Value: '14.6º C'

The plugin should decode a lot (most?) of the common Z-Wave Command Classes. If a Z-Wave Command Class / Command can't be interpreted, the plugin will indicate such. In that case, if you would like it to be decoded, post the log output in this sub-forum and I will look to add the decoding in for it into the plugin. :)
