Gmail SMTP Username and Password not accepted

I'm getting this error from Email+ when attempting an SMTP connection to a Gmail account that has worked for years:
According to this page, as of June 1 2022 Gmail no longer supports username and password authentication. Does Email+ support a more modern alternative authentication that works with Gmail, or do I need to refactor how I'm sending outbound emails from Indigo? Given that it's Gmail, I thought I'd see something about this in this forum, but I don't. Maybe it has been discussed elsewhere?
