Hi,

when will Alexa be available in Germany and Italy? I thought it was planned with the 2021.1.1 release.

The plugin side is done, but we're waiting on one more translation before we can submit the actual skill to Amazon. We're relying on the generosity of our user community to get the language translations done since neither Matt nor myself speak anything but English...

Which translation is still missing?

I believe right now the only one we are waiting on is Spanish.

The Indigo Smart Home skill should be available in France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and Spain. It may also be available in other regions whose language is one of those. Let us know if you can't find it in your store and we'll work with Amazon to figure out why.

My Alexa country shall be set as Germany but the language is Italian.
But I cannot find on the Alexa Store

I'm not sure that's a supported configuration - I have no idea how Amazon determines which language/regions to show for any given skill. I know that they wouldn't allow the English skill to show up in non-English regions.

From the skill submission side, you specify the language you want your skills to be deployed for, and we have German and Italian selected. Amazon says they're published to those regions.

What store are you seeing, the German or Italian? This article seems to indicate that you can switch languages but it forces you to a specific store for that region only.

The Skills Store is in German because the devices are registered in Germany.
The App itself is in Italian because the iOS language is Italian.

I tried to set the iOS language to German but the skill does not appear.
I will wait few hours
