I'll add it in.

Thanks!

That's one reason the plugin was renamed. Switchboard has outgrown the Security ONLY aspect.
It's now ideal for many different uses....

It's quite a bit nicer and easier to set up, too. Thanks for the great plugin!

Re: Switchboard (Formerly Indigo Security Script)

I am enjoying Indigo/Switchboard and porting my Home X10 setup to it ... Hoping I am not duplicating but having scanned for some time I did not find : is there an example of an (X10) home alarm system being implemented into Indigo/Switchboard ? I would gladly copy/paste/adjust it if possible. Thanks a lot ! Eric

When do you anticipate ver 74 will be released? Want to do several more control pages but would like to wait for the state name fixes.

Probably this weekend.... I've been distracted with fixing issues with the Thermostat Enhancement plugin, and Find My iDevices issues.... Along with real world issues....

Re: Switchboard (Formerly Indigo Security Script)

I just formally released Switchboard v1.74.

This has a few bugs fixes, and a minor feature added....

⁃ v0.74 - 10/14 /2012 - Public Release
⁃ Fixed several Trigger Label descriptions.
⁃ Added Code that will automatically update the Device's State fields when the plugin is started.
⁃ Fixed an issue with Action Group support. Switchboard was not triggering the Action Groups on Close action.
⁃ Default behavior is to trigger for all action states when Action Groups are enabled ["_Open", "_Closed", "_Armed", "_Disarm", "_Panic", "_LightsOn", "_LightsOff"].
⁃ I have added two filters, so that you can force the Action Group to only be trigger on an Open or Close.

The issue is partially that each Switchboard setup is fairly custom....

But, take my house for an example.

I have three major Switchboard devices that consist of our security system...

1 ) A Monitored Device Group that contains all the outside doors ("Exterior Doors").
2) A Timed Profile that contains an X10 Chime. It is set to not activate for 2 minutes after being triggered. And the chime is only on for 10 Seconds. I have an "Controlling Variable" called "Sound Chime", which if set false, prevents the chime for going off (for 1 minute). This way, we can leave without triggering the chime... The chime is also set to trigger only on Activation (Door opening).

3) In addition, we have a Switchboard Timed profile for the entrance hallway, that will activate the lights in the hallway for 3 minutes when the hallway doors are opened.

Does 0.74 email on heartbeat timeouts? Just curious if this feature made it in.

Thanks a lot Bschollnick2 !!
I am starting to build it and will use your setup as a template ... Much appreciated, Eric

Re: Switchboard (Formerly Indigo Security Script)

Hi Ben,

I'm trying to use Switchboard to monitor a DS12a sensor via my W800USB. When creating a new device, I select "X10 Monitored Device". How do I find the "X10 Security Code"?

Thanks!

Maurice

X10 security codes are assigned by the device itself.

Trigger the device, and a message should appear in Indigo log stating what the X10 Security code is....

Re: Switchboard (Formerly Indigo Security Script)

Hmm, only once when I've tried to add a DS12a has the code appeared in the "X10 Security Code" field. I can't seem to repeat how I made this happen. Also, no event or security id appears in the log either.

I'm using Indigo 5.1.6, and Indigo is showing the W800USB as connected. The DS12a is in close proximity to the antenna when I press the button inside the DS12a. I'd be very grateful if you could tell me exactly when in the process of adding a new device I should push the DS12a button.

Thanks,

M

EDIT - Looking back, I'm not sure anything ever appeared on its own in the "X10 Security Code" field. I believe I typed a test value in.

If your not seeing the Security ID displayed in the Log file, then it may not be visible to Indigo.

Your correct, you manually add the Security ID to the device. It does not auto-detect...

I have not tested with a DS12A, so I am not sure that it can communicate with Indigo. The DS10A's can, and will work with it.

Have you ever been successful with using a DS12a with Indigo / Switchboard?

Re: Switchboard (Formerly Indigo Security Script)

Argh, I got a bunch of DS12a sensors thinking they would behave the same as the DS10a. I should have made sure before I bought them. Nowadays, the DS12a seem to be easier to come by at a discount.

- Does anyone know for certain if the W800USB can read the DS12a?
- Is it possible that the W800rf32 supports a wider variety of protocols?

The following describes the x10 security protocol used by the DS10a:
www.wgldesigns.com/protocols/w800rf32_protocol.txt

Does anyone know a description of the DS12a's protocol on the web?

Looks like I'll be call WGL and/or the MacHomeStore in the morning.
