V.1.70 - Not showing all available devices

Hi Zach,

Firstly, many, many thanks for taking on this mega challenge !

I have just installed the plugin and the only device showing is my Front Doorbell. I have 3 other cameras and a couple of chimes. If I use the printout option in the plugin menu, all my devices are correctly shown in the event log.
Any ideas ?

Thanks and kindest regards,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the note! The current version of the plugin only supports doorbell devices. Support for other devices is in the works!

Hi again Zach,

I was just wondering if the Ring Alarm is going to be in scope for the plugin. It would be so useful to be able to capture the home or away setting from the alarm control panel !

Thanks and kindest regards,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

It doesn't look like the Ring Alarm is exposed by the Ring API, at least not in a way that the library I'm relying on has access to. That said, I'll make a note to look into this and see what might be possible.

Is there any update on the timeline support for devices other than Doorbell only?
I'm not proficient enough in Python programming yet to read-modify-write your plugin to add support for a Ring stickup camera, so before I turn this into a science project for myself, I thought I'd check to see if there is a line of sight to adding this capability.
Thanks for getting the plugin this far.
