Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

Thanks howarthp,

I have installed it and it seems to work.
Lowest update rate that I can use before failure is 11 sec.

I will do some more tests tomorrow, to late to slam any doors tonight.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

I can confirm after today's testing that the lowest polling frequency seems to be 11 seconds.
As soon as I go down to 10 seconds I get the error message "TOO MANY REQUESTS"

@howartp: Thanks for fixing these issues. It is soooo wonderful to have the plugin up and working again! :D

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

Unfortunately, I missed today over 80% of the notifications when the doors opened due to the polling times.
When they were 5 sec it was perfect and I did not miss anything.
Is there any possibility to reduce the time to 5 sec or has Verisure made this impossible.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

It is Verisure that has made it impossible to have lower polling frequency than 11 seconds...

As soon as you poll more frequently than 11 seconds you WILL get the Verisure error message "TOO MANY REQUESTS".

It is a little bit strange though since if I run Per Sandströms python script manually in a terminal window and send
vsure <login> <pwd> armstate
repeatedly within 4-5 seconds each time I do NOT get the same error message?

@howartp: Is there a difference between how your script logs in to Verisure and checks current arm state versus repeatedly running Per Sandström's script manually with a frequency of 4-5 seconds between each check?

@tazswe: Why do you need so "tight" polling as 5 seconds? I have now 11 seconds and works just fine for me to catch the arm state events as well as Yale door lock events that I need.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

@crazyfin

The reason I want to update more often than 11 seconds is that I risk missing the door if it is opened and closed and locked faster than 11 seconds. Normally it takes about 4-5 sec plus 2 sec for autolock = 6-7 sec which makes it possible to read which door was opened and by whom.
I have 4 doors with 8 users for each, which means that 32 different scenarios start depending on who opens which door.

Do you use the system in a similar way?
And if so, how did you make it work?

But howartp´s Verisure V2 plugin does not report which user opens the door? Not as far as I can see or have I missed something here?
This means that you can not trigger Indigo on user based door openings.

Nope, I do not trigger user based events on door unlock (since I can not see that it would be possible with this plugin?)

I only use the Verisure plugin to trigger different scenarios when disarming, arming_home and arming_away.
I also send push notice if door locking fails.

The plugin is more powerful than you think, you have a lot of options.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

Oooooh I am sooooo embarrassed now!
Then I fully understand your issue with what you are trying to achieve.

Unfortunately it won't be possible to poll more frequently than every 10th second since it seems to be Verisure that has put those restrictions in place for the API. :-(

However, this is somewhat strange:
When I use Per Sandström's python script in a terminal window and manually poll Verisure for the current state of my alarm with less than 2-3 seconds between each poll I do NOT get that "Too Many Requests" error message.

@howartp: Is there something different you do when polling the alarm for state compared to polling manually in a terminal window like I do when testing?

@tazswe:
There are other people using other HA platforms with Verisure experiencing same problem with "TOO_MANY_REQUESTS":

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

Hi both.

I think i've realised why you're getting TooManyRequests - entirely my fault if so.

However, I think @tazswe has just changed his password as my copy of the plugin stopped working whilst I was testing it?

Give https://github.com/howartp84/Verisure/r ... tag/2.0.12 a try and see if you can lower your refresh down to 4/5 seconds.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

Howartp,

I haven’t changed password but I have been logged into the app tonight so that might have caused you some problems to log in.

I have installed the 2.12.

I tried all the way down to 5 seconds and it seems to work.
Let’s see if it works over time as well, I will do some stress test tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for all the time and effort you have done, I am most grateful.

Re: Version 2.0.9 bugs, errors and suggestions

This is soooo wonderful!
2.0.12 seems to work perfectly fine with 5 second polling interval now.
