Pre-release 2022.1.0 available

Rewrite of plugin to support latest Nexia library, which requires asyncio.

https://github.com/FlyingDiver/Indigo-T ... g/2022.1.0

For this release, you MUST do the following:

Update the Nexia library: pip install aiohttp nexia --upgrade

This version of the plugin only supports one Trane Home/Nexia account. To set up your account credentials, do the following:

  1. Disable all plugin devices (uncheck the "Comm Enabled" checkbox in the Indigo UI)
  2. Install the new plugin
  3. Enter your account credentials in the plugin config dialog
  4. Restart the plugin
  5. Enable the plugin devices (check the "Comm Enabled" checkbox)
  6. Edit each thermostat and zone device. Just open the dialog, make sure the correct device is selected, then Save.
If you get errors anywhere along the way, stop and create an issue here. Do NOT delete the old Nexia Account device until the plugin is out of pre-release. You'll need it if you want to revert to the old plugin version.

On the other hand, you'll also need to downgrade the nexia library if you want to go back to the old version.

To confirm. I have tested most of the primary functions of the plugin, and everything works great. This includes all the thermostat device functions (note to others: you must use the zone device and not the thermostat device) and the plugin actions.

Again, another awesome plugin. Thank you again!

Re: Pre-release 2022.1.0 available

Yeah, that's a quirk of the implementation because the system supports multiple zones per unit. The thermostat device gives the compressor and air handler status. including the fan. The zones give the temperature and setpoints for that specific HVAC zone.

I supposed I could do what Home Assistant does and merge it all into one device, with the side effect of changing the hvac or fan mode on one zone would also change it on the others.

Re: Pre-release 2022.1.0 available

Hello, Just had a Trane XR 16 installed yesterday with a XL824 thermostat. I installed the latest forum plug in and the plugin installed and connected to my Trane account as evident by the green dot in Indigo as state = ok. However, when I add the thermostat I get no data- it connects and immediately disconnects and show the thermostat in the pulldowns. So I went on your GitHub site and downloaded the latest 7/30 release and I get an error when installing the newer plug as indicated my red and I cannot get plugin to load. I did run the install of as you suggested but plug shows red error and no load. Thanks, for the plug in and I would love to get it working and appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Damian

Do you have a non-standard (not installed by Indigo) Python3 install on that system?

What does "which pip3" return?

You could try "/usr/local/bin/pip3 install aiohttp nexia" to make sure you're running the correct version of pip.

Got the new plugin working forgot the current pip version part of the install pip3.10 install aiohttp nexia --upgrade! Works great, thanks again for the hugely appreciated plugin and the work you put it. On another note still cannot get the BMW connected plugin to work as it did before.

Open an issue in GitHub to remind me to look at it when I get back.
