American standard purchased Nexia?

Hello, I have an American Standard Platinum 850 thermostat, which appears to have previously used a Nexia account, but they switched it to use an account at https://asairhome.com/. I am wondering if American Standard purchased Nexia or something like that.

Is there a way to get this plugin to work with this thermostat? Would that be easy or take a ton of work? Have you looked into it and advise me to abandon hope?

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give.

Bruce

American standard purchased Nexia?

There’s an option for selecting “asair” in the plug-in config dialog. That should work. If not, try updating the nexia library. If that still doesn’t work, open an issue In GitHub and I’ll look at it when I’m back from vacation.

Re: American standard purchased Nexia?

In the plugin config dialog, I am only seeing the following two options:
Update frequency (minutes)
Event Logging level

When I create a "Nexia-Trane Thermostat Account" device in indigo, the Edit Device Settings button brings up the following three options:
Username
Password
House ID

Not seeing any option for using asair domain... I suspect I'm missing something obvious... please more guidance on where I should be looking?

Thanks very much
(running version 2202.0.2)

Re: American standard purchased Nexia?

Great, much appreciated.

Any thoughts on when it might be released? It looks like currently I would need to build the pre-release plugin from the source code... haven't done that before, I suspect it's probably not too bad... but if release is semi-imminent then maybe I will wait. If not, I guess it would be cool to know how to build my own plugins... probably worth me spending the time to figure it out.

Thanks

There’s a link to the zipped plugin at the bottom of that page. No building required.

Re: American standard purchased Nexia?

Thank you! I got it working with asair!

Sorry for the cluelessness... I was using a different computer without indigo installed to download and look at the pre-release plugin, so it showed up as a folder instead of a plugin.

Deep appreciation for the plugin. I had been hoping that I could have just connected the thermostat (American standard platinum 850) to indigo using zwave, but it appears that the thermostat can only be a zwave hub and not a device. Your plugin saved the day.

thanks again
