After watching it for a couple of days (now 4 days in on the new system and still getting the comfort levels right) I'm not sure the polling is working at all... the Indigo devices never seem to update any of their states as the temperature and zone calls change in the Nexia app even though the "last updated" times in the devices dialog show that they should be. Turning on "debug" in the plugin does not show any access of the Nexia website due to polling. However, if I SEND a "fan auto" FROM Indigo on the Thermostat device, it looks like everything updates immediately to match the Nexia App numbers. I was halfway thinking of sending that command periodically via a schedule rather than depending on polling, but that runs the risk of resetting fan always if I set it from the thermostat itself... Any other ideas?

UPDATE...setting the fan mode in the thermostat does not seem to be an automatable Action... maybe setting the Dehumidify set point instead?

UPDate 2: That was a bust; when I send Dehumidify set point (even the same one) to Nexia via an action I get

Re: Trane Nexia Plugin Q&A

There was a "Not Updating" open issue so I added it there. but got to thinking that perhaps I should start a new one on the recursive crash when I attempted to send an action to Nexia, even though it was discovered as part of trying to isolate the not updating problem. However, I would expect that this plugin is currently on hold until they finish retiring the Nexia website and open the Trane and American Standard ones. Currently they give warnings on the Nexia site that I should go to the American Standard one, but when I follow those links I get "Under Construction" and directed back to he Nexia site.

I switched to the American Standard website at https://asairhome.com. Works fine for me.

Weird... It still takes me to a page that says
Trane Home isn't quite ready yet
Thank you for your interest in our new brand! We are excited to have you visit tranehome.com in the future. For now, we're still Nexia. Please continue to use mynexia.com until you receive an email from us letting you know we're ready!

We are also updating the Nexia mobile app soon, so keep an eye on your inbox!

    Thanks!
    —The Nexia Team

Maybe because I had a Nexia account... and the installer cautioned me not to create a second one at American Home Standard because it would confuse the system...

I will try to get some time next week to look at it. No promises.

Re: Trane Nexia Plugin Q&A

This is going to be a fairly involved update. The original library the plugin is based on now uses a different authentication technique, with a selector for the Brand device you're using (Trane, Nexia, ASAir). And since it's a Python3 library, I have to convert it back tp Python2 to use it. Sigh.
