Could it work with the Hue Plugin @nathan ? Pretty Please...
I assume I add it to the Hue hub and then run Hue Plugin in debug and start it - capture and post back here?
Possibly?
I already have the PSUs, but this would be a much cheaper version of the Hue LED Strip and fit for purpose, I don't need colour in the kitchen for this utility function.
I've just ordered this as it claims full compatibility with Hue/Alexa/Tradfri..

With this controller you can control different LED products and can set a white color you like. For example warm white, cold white, pure white and so on. With an App and a daylight sensor it is possible to change the light color like the day outside, to make a full automatically light control.

Notes for tested compatibility
The controller will be work with the most ZigBee Light Link and ZigBee 3.0 Gateways.
It is tested with Philips Hue, Osram Lightify, Ikea Tradfri, Amazon Echo Plus
It looks like it could be pretty nice for the new Kitchen.
i.e. One of these controlling two runs of LED strips one 6500k the other 2400k.
I am trying with with 2x5M waterproof IP65 300 unit SMD 2835 LED Ribbon 1200lm 12v DC one 6500k the other a warm white so expect something around 2400-2700k.
If it works - I hoping to hook in a few of these around the kitchen so I can drive a daylight Mode, evening mode and a super bright mode with both strings on.
