Re: Announcer discussion

Hello Nathan,

Thanks for the clear explanation.
I thought a simple update with an on/off button in the Plugin to switch off the speech mode would fix this.
But I understand this is not possible.

Thanks for the script I appreciate that! It works!
I'm not a "scripter", the Plugin was great for me, but I can live with this solution :D

Now our Hue bulbs does a color loop every hour with the sound of an old clock :-)

Thanks again for the help.

John

Re: Announcer discussion

Great! Glad that script worked for you.

Yea, adding a "simple" button requires significantly less "simple" coding behind the scenes, so I'm afraid I won't be able to add something like that, at least not any time soon. At least the script worked though.

Happy automating!

Re: Announcer discussion

Hi!

I can use a Swedish voice but can't use Swedish text (åäö), the "announcement action settings" wont let me save. Is this fixable?

Best regards, L

Hi L.

What version of Indigo are you using? I'm also assuming you also have the latest version of Announcer installed (available from the link in the main Announcer announcement thread).

Re: Announcer discussion

Okay. Thanks. I'm not sure if it's something I can fix (it probably has something to do with Unicode characters which have always been a source of frustration in Python), but I'll look at it to see what I can find. It may take some time though.
