Losing Hue lights after reboot router

I have been having Netgear router issues that has forced me into several reboots. Upon reboot, if the hue hub gets a new IP address I lose connectivity and need to change the address in the config.
I had thought that there was a way to keep this from happening...port forwarding/mapping, ???

Re: Losing Hue lights after reboot router

In your router configuration, you should be able to specify a static IP address assignment to the MAC address of your Hue Hub - so every time it boots and asks your router for an IP address it gets the same one. Not sure where it is in your router config, but most have the ability to do that.

I believe Netgear calls it DHCP reservations.
