Mountain Lion Trouble

I upgraded to 10.8 this morning. Now, within AppleScripts, "tell application 'IndigoServer'" is returning:

error "IndigoServer got an error: Application isn’t running." number -600

"IndigoServer" *is* running, and Indigo is working fine vis a vis lights, etc. It's just my scripts that are failing.

Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks.

We have a wiki article on the topic and you might want to check this post (and the thread afterwords).

Serves me right for searching under the forum topic "Indigo Software Help" and not "Indigo 5 Features"... Didn't cross my mind that a 10.8 problems discussion would be in "Features". Oh, well. I'll just hang tight 'till you guys figure it out. Thanks.

Any update on the issue reported by the OP. I know work-arounds are available, but they are a pain.

The problem shouldn't be present in recent Indigo 5 releases or Indigo 6.

I am running 5.0.4 on OS 10.8.2 and if I let the Indigo server start up automatically on system boot, I get the following messages any time I have a tell application "IndigoServer" block: in an AppleScript"

got an error: Application IndigoServer isn’t running." number -600"

As noted in other posts, if I stop the server and restart it from an AppleScript or from thev finder window, it works as expected. I do not assume this to be unique to Indigo, but it is the only application I call from outside -- and then really mostly for testing from the script editor.

Um, 5.0.4 was released in February - 10 months ago. Note that I said "recent Indigo 5 releases". From the v5.1.5 release notes:

Ooops. I've been back just two weeks and I KNEW there was something I forgot to do. I saw the notice that v6 is available, but I wasn't ready to upgrade this machine yet, so I ignored the notice. Perhaps it might be possible in the "update" dialog to give the most recent release AND when appropriate, beta release.
