Default voice

Posted: Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:36 amYou can change the default voice for the Mac in the Speech System Preference. If you're using the "say" AppleScript command you can specify the voice (say "text" using "Victoria").

Posted: Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:16 amThe original post is quite old(2010) so I don't think the answer applies. The current Indigo documentation seems to imply "Speak a text string using the built-in speech synthesizer." that it only uses this voice.
Is there a way in Monterey to use the System Voice as defined in System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> System Voice. ?
