I recently purchased a Powerlinc 2414u off of eBay. I've been using it with the latest version of Indigo. It turns my X10 (it's all I have!) lamp modules on and off, but It won't dim them.
What can I do?

The public beta of 3.0 improves this somewhat. It still doesn't work great though.
The problem is it is difficult (maybe impossible) to get the 2414U to send out a continuous stream of X10 dim/brighten commands, which is what those modules want. The beta of 2.5 will send out multiple individual dim/brighten commands to try and get close, but it is slow and not very accurate. The 2414U can sent out preset dim commands, so if you have any Smarthome LampLinc PLC modules they will work well. But the generic X10 modules sold at x10.com and Radio Shack just don't dim/brighten well with the 2414U.
Give the beta a try and see if it works better for you. Your best bet may be to get some INSTEON LampLincs.
