Virtual Device Error

I have several virtual devices set up as alarm zones. Essentially they aggregate (OR) the state of the sensor or detector devices in their zone. I then am using triggers to monitor the state of the zone virtual devices and set a fault variable if the zone state changes to ON.

During testing, I noted that two of the virtual zone devices would never move to the ON state. Upon further investigation of the log file, it appears that an error occurs for both of these virtual devices whenever an included real device changes state. I have attached snips of the log below.

I have a third virtual zone device that is implemented in an identical fashion to the two that are failing, but it seems to work fine. It monitors 3 TriggerLinc devices on a different floor.

I am running Indigo v6.0.3 on a Mountain Lion system.

Any ideas?

Re: Virtual Device Error

Can you update to the 6.0.4 release then repost the errors? I should get more accurate information from that. You can just copy/paste the text into a code tag rather than posting images.

You might want to edit those devices, reselect the devices in the group and save. It looks like there's a device in them that's no longer in Indigo.

OK. Upgraded to 6.0.4.
Deleted and recreated the two device groups. Same problem.

Re: Virtual Device Error

Very strange - that error implies that the device group contains a device id that's not in Indigo any more. But since you deleted and created a new device I'm really quite puzzled. Try this - delete the devices, restart the plugin, then recreate them.

If that doesn't work, create a new device group, add one of the devices, then save. Then turn the device on/off and watch for the error. Repeat with each device until you get the error.

Re: Virtual Device Error

Deleted the virtual device groups again.
This time when I created them, I added one device at a time and tested tested the group response after each addition.
No problems this time. Both device groups seem to be working as expected now.
I did not restart the plugin or server.
Guess I'm past this one. Thanks.
