iPad app to fire a Trigger in Indigo when iPad power needed?

Hello,

The "face" of my Indigo system is an iPad in our hall.
But it is not necessary to use the power adapter of the iPad 24 hours a day.
Is it possible to make an app for the iPad when the battery is lower than 5%,
a trigger in Indigo wille be fired to put the Z-Wave plug-in ON/OFF Module (with the power adapter) On?
And when the battery of the iPad is 100% loaded, the app Triggers again the ON/OFF module via Indigo?

Kind regards,

John

Hi Joh,

There might be some utility application that let's you get access to the battery level, but I don't know of any.

Are you just trying to conserve electricity? I imagine the power draw from the adapter when the iPad is fully charge is pretty negligible and it will be higher when it is charging. Therefore, I'm not sure that you'll really save much electricity by cycling it on and off.

Hi Matt,

Thanks again for the fast answer.
I think you are right;
the power consumption will be higher when it is charging.
Do you know if it is possible with a Trigger from Indigo to let the iPad sleep when it's night?
At the moment the iPad is on with full screen the whole night when we sleep.
And it's a little bit stupid to push the iPad to sleep by myself when the whole house is automated with Indigo :-)

Thanks for the help and kind regards,

John

No, there aren't really any Indigo actions for commanding an iOS client.
