Possible bug - double quote in Message to Send field

Including a double quote in the Message to Send field of the Configure Send iMsg Message dialogue throws errors. The error appears any time a double-quote is present, regardless of if the quote is left open or closed.

For example, "xyz and "xyz" throw errors. Removing the quotes and sending xyz works without issue.

This might be a known bug or limitation, but new to me. Just noticed today when I set up a new trigger.

macOS 11.2
Indigo 7.5
iMessage Plugin 0.4.7

Code: Select all
   Trigger                         TEST: imessage
iMessage Plugin Debug           A error of type :ScriptError occured.  The longer message is :Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier.
iMessage Plugin Error           An Error occured within the iMsg AppleScript component - ScriptError
iMessage Plugin Error           The Error was :Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier. (-2741) range=39-42

Re: Possible bug - double quote in Message to Send field

Thanks

Probably more a limitation of the AppleScript to iMessage connection.

Not sure there would be anyway around it - I can have a look next time in that {code} neck of woods, but would suggest avoid quotes.
