Ecobee: Who uses a temperature scale other than Fahrenheit?

Please chime in. I'm looking at some really buggy behavior when using Celsius. And if I'm going to make major changes in that code, I think I'm going to rip out the Kelvin and Rankin options. Those are all holdovers from the original plugin and not worth saving IMHO.

I don’t use your plugin but any UK users will almost certainly use Celsius.

None of us will use Kelvin or Rankin - never even heard of the latter!

Very roughly...
Fahrenheit: mostly the USA and people aged over about 75. About 4% of the global population.
Celsius: the other 7,500,000,000 people in the world. About 96%

I'm using celsius here in Canada along with most of the world. Only USA, LIberia and Myanmar use Fahrenheit. We also don't use barley corns as a unit of measure :-)

Not a useful response. I know the geographic breakdown. I'm looking for Ecobee users.

Ecobee is a Canadian company with about 30% north American market share with about 24% in US. With that probably a lot of users would use Fahrenheit. I couldn't find market share breakdown for the rest of the world. Either way, not supporting a temperature unit used in over 90% of the world doesn't seem like the best way to go.

Where did I ever say that I was going to remove Celsius support?

You didn't. It's just that the title is implying it" Who uses a temperature scale other than Fahrenheit". Didn't mean to get you upset, sorry.

That's how I read it too. Apologies - no offence intended!
