Ecobee mode: when OFF, not responding to Auto Cool/Heat cmd

I may have found another plug in bug. With the thermostat mode = "Off", at the device, changing the mode to "Auto Cool/Heat" is not changing the thermostat from "Off".
Below, with thermostat in OFF, I set the mode to "Auto Cool/Heat"
The relevant thermostat is "Front Hall".

You're going to have to go to Detailed Debugging for more info.

Well, never mind. That section of code doesn't have any more detailed debug logging.

But I can't reproduce your results. I started with the thermostat in Auto mode. Indigo showed the same state. I used the Ecobee app to change the mode to Off (which should be the same as going to the device and doing it on the display). I clicked "Send Status Request" in the Indigo UI, and a couple seconds later the Mode updated correctly. Then I turned the system back on, requested status update again, and it correctly updated.

If you're not getting those results, please post your EXACT sequence of events, remembering that the plugin POLLs the Ecobee servers and won't update in real time unless you specifically request a status update.

Re: Ecobee mode: when OFF, not responding to Auto Cool/Heat

I am able to reproduce your results. My steps differed by my selecting 'Auto Cool/Heat', while you were selected 'Heat'.
A few days ago, I learned from Ecobee support that the Y1 wire is for controlling AC. I don't have the Y1 connected, and that might be the explanation as to why the system does not respond to the Auto Heat/Cool command.

Ah. All my systems are heat and cooling, so they work for any of the modes. I'm not sure there's anything I can do in the plugin to prevent your error.

Re: Ecobee mode: when OFF, not responding to Auto Cool/Heat

easy work-around - just select heat.
assuming I'm correct, you could document: "with no Y1 connection, auto heat/cool does not work".

Re: Ecobee mode: when OFF, not responding to Auto Cool/Heat

Well, since your system doesn't have any cooling, that would seem obvious. ;)
