Is there a way I can capture the temperature data from the thermostat and use it do display in a control page?

Is there some reason you need to "capture" it, rather than just display it directly in the CP?

Where was that screen shot from?
BTW, I'm very happy with the Ecobee thermostat and plug-in. I'm hoping to get the purpleair data with the purple air plug-in so I can use it to manage the fan only mode on my furnace - this is how we're cleaning our house air when there is smoke everywhere (California). I have two particulate measurement devices - inside and outside the house, and a MERV 13 filter in the furnace. Works nicely., but only necessary when the wind is blowing the wrong way.
