I've got similar issue - floor heating thermostat keeps resetting to 5C :)

BTW added "Generic Thermostat v2" manually to the XML file, so, for now, the only real issue it an electric floor one.

Any progress on enabling "smart thermostats self-management" - i.e. only to specify heat points (and enable global heating device if required)?

Is it at all possible you set the target set point to include a decimal point in it, i.e. 18.5c 0r 21.5c

I have done a test on a Spirit and if I set TRV target to 18.5c I get weird behaviour, as soon as I set to a whole number it works ok.

My issues with this have stopped since I kept to whole digits...

It's getting near the top of my to-do list to look at. :)

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Hi Matt,

it‘s been more than 2 Months now, is there any chance this minor change is released any time soon?

Strange they are using the manufacture ID, but we'll update Indigo (in 7.4.1) to use the Spirit device definition for that manufacture + model ID combination.

Happy new yer, btw.

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

That model ID will be in Indigo 7.4.1, which are are (and have been) actively working on finishing since 7.4.0 shipped. No exact ETA though.

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Hi Jon.
Any chance you can make your request for status not run in a group for all TRVs? With 8, it can take over 10 seconds for all to respond and nothing else runs in that time, adding a noticeable lag to some of my responses.

Thanks, from a nice warm room, whilst the rest of the house is much cooler, which is just what I need.

I missed it.

Good idea; the thought had crossed my mind. :)

What I would actually like is for Indigo to have a priority queuing mechanism for Z-Wave - The status requests could then go on the low priority queue,

I am not sure how easy it will be to implement it but I will see what I can do.

I have a few other things getting in the way at the moment, so it will be a little while before I can do anything on it. :)

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Cheers. It's not often but there are times when I ask for lights to go off and they sit in a queue for 10 seconds plus which makes people (wife) wonder what's going on and why the stupid* system doesn't work.
I'm also holding off putting another 2 in which would add to this delay.

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Indigo 7.4.1 is now available and includes the new manufacture / model ID for this module.

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Hi Jon. Just got my first zigbee temp sensor connected to indigo via Mqtt and Joe’s plugin. It shows as a temperature device but it doesnt appear as an option for a remote temperature sensor in the TRV plugin. What do you need from me to enable?
Cheers. Simon

Do a print to the log of the device details as in:
Code: Select all
indigo.server.log(u"Remote Stat Device:\n {}".format(indigo.devices[12345678]))
Replacing 12345678 with the device id and then post the results back here. :)

Re: TRV Controller Discussion Thread

Cheers... no rush at all. Just looking to see how I could use these. They seem to report temperature changes very fast and frequently, so interested on how the battery lasts.
