Interesting Weather

Interesting times we live in. Here in Chicago, there are 5 severe weather alerts for my area.

Wednesday (2019-01-30): low of -23ºF, with windchills of -50º to -55º
Monday (2019-02-04): high of +51ºF.

I've experienced colder windchills -- my record is -80º in Fargo, North Dakota in the late 80's / early 90s. I'm sure some of the arctic Indigo users may scoff, but this is pretty cold for this neck of the woods.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Interesting Weather

Thanks! I’m grateful for the ability to work from home in these circumstances. I worry about the homeless and those that have to work outside.

Yeah.. especially the homeless.. I know some would choose to live outdoors anyway but I don't think that in 2019 that anyone shouldn't have access to a place to live.

Re: Interesting Weather

If I did, I was blind drunk and don’t recall it.

(Had to look that one up.)

I would like to experience this just once in my life... coldest I've been in was around -10º or so while skiing one vacation. I understand it must be a PITA for you guys to live through, just want to say I was there at least once. Should have gone to visit my pal Dave for a few days, though then I would have missed our winter here in South Louisiana which is scheduled from 9:00pm tonight until 8:00am tomorrow. Then we go back to Spring.

Must be some kind of wind in the Windy City to drop the WC down 30º!

Re: Interesting Weather

Dave, I heard last night it was warmer at the south pole than what it will be for you guys. That totally sucks.

As I have been saying, at some point it just doesn't matter anymore.

If you want, you can come shovel my driveway. :D

I just saw that! We don't get days like this very often (thankfully) and I'll be indoors for most if not all of it. I must add that the difference in temperature between the inside of my house and the outside of my house tomorrow will be on the order of about 90º at the low point.

Anyone wanna volunteer to pay my heating bill this month?

It's not quite that cold, but it's getting there!
