Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

steve: how to access through variables:

==> copy device status into variable (eg rainSensor into variables)

1. create all the variables you need (rainToday, rainRate, rainYesterday, ...)
2. create action group rainsensorToVariables
- Variable action / insert device state into variable / select device /edit action / select state and variable e.g. rainToday
- 2. action .. for 2. variable
- ...
3. create trigger eg rainsenorHasChanged
- device state changed/ select device rainSensor/ pick any property that changes ==> action: action group under number 2. rainsensorToVariables

4. I guess you use applescript. there you then can access all the variables...

Hi durosity

Can you tell me which options you used to setup the HomeEasy HE306 under the RFXCOM Indigo plugin?

Thanks

M.

I have two devices setup in Indigo, one is the doorbell button and one is the ringer bit itself. The ringer is setup as a AC Appliance (New KaKu) with a random house code/unit which was sent to the device when in pairing mode. As for the button, it’s setup as a X10 switch with the relevant house code and unit code as it showed up in the logs with ‘Enable debug logging’ enabled (In my case N8).

Just for reference you don’t need the ringer to be paired for the doorbell to keep working, I just paired it in case i ever wanted to remotely ring the doorbell or for future triggers that i may think up in the future.

If you’re looking for something that’s a bit better looking, i believe that B&Q sell siemens branded LWRF compatible doorbells.. but i’ve never actually tried them.

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

I tried one of the Siemens ones; there's no indication that they're LWRF compatible apart from some in-store advertising boards that carry the logo. I couldn't find anyone specifically saying that they'd made one work with an RFXCOM unit (here or on the LWRF forums), but took a punt regardless. I couldn't get it to be recognised by the RFX plugin in Indigo, so it barely lasted a day before it went back to the shop.

Yeah, i found this while looking into it: http://lightwaverfcommunity.org.uk/foru ... lls-in-bq/ . In it it confirms that siemens removed the LWRF code from them.. and that LWRF themselves were going to have their own versions, but looks like they never did. Shame they’re pretty unreliable at shipping anything.. the finish of their products is always so nice.

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Hi, I am having problems getting my new new RFXtrx433 working, I am running a new mac mini with 10.8.4 and have installed the FTDI driver and the latest plugin, I can see the RFXtrx433 in the configure RFXCOM BOX and appears to initialise.

I can't see the RFX in the preferences or see it mentioned in the available interfaces, any ideas?

Thanks

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Thank you very much Robert! My Somfy sun blinds are working with Indigo and the RFXtrx433E.
The Open, CLOSE and STOP are functioning by adding specific rfxcom actions to the control pages. For open en close you can also use the on/off toggle for the device.

On page 28 of the RFXtrx user guide you'll find a description how to pair the Somfy with the RFXCom.

Again, many thanks!!

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

Sorry to report but for the first time ever I'm having issues with this plugin.

V1.4 just will not interface with the USB driver properly. Tried reloads, re-boots, un-plug etc, just no go.

Dropped down a version and all is good again, but no Somfy:((

Perhaps soon.

Re: New version of the RFXTRX Plugin available

I also had some issues after updating the Plug-In.
You may have to make some changes to the protocols actives in the plug-in.

regards

Tim
