Re: RFXCOM new install, please help!

It seems the USB interface chip (FTDI FT232) in the RFXtrx433E becomes frozen due to an external event.
In most cases this is produced by a spike on the power line produced for example by switching a TL or other inductor on or off.
- Use a short USB cable preferable with a ferrite core noise suppressor.
- keep the USB cable away from power line cables.

Re: RFXCOM new install, please help!

With the announcement of the new MacMini 2018 many people are likely to be upgrading after years of the MacMini sitting idle. Are there any perceived issues with RFXCOM hardware running on these new machines? Looks like they still have USB-USB3.0. It's likely too early to know for sure but wanted to get it out there.

It could have the FTDI driver issue, but we won't know until someone tries it.

Not quite the same as new Mac Mini (which toying with)
But can confirm the RFXCOM works fine with Mojave on 2014 Mac Mini (no sign of driver bug)
