RFXCOM plugin with energy monitor

Hi,

I have successfully installed the RFXrec433 USB Receiver with the RFXCOM in Indigo and I am now able to see events in the event log in debug mode. I see the following events:

Code: Select all
  RFXCOM Debug                    ++++++++++++++
  RFXCOM Debug                    processing: 10 82 6 4 214 1 0 105 59 0 69 (0A 52 06 04 D6 01 00 69 3B 00 45)
  RFXCOM Debug                    Temp sensor 470 now 10.50 degrees and 59 humidity.
  RFXCOM Debug                    ++++++++++++++
  RFXCOM Debug                    processing: 8 80 1 5 2 1 0 106 73 (08 50 01 05 02 01 00 6A 49)
  RFXCOM Debug                    Temp sensor 258 now 10.60 degrees and 0 humidity.
  RFXCOM Debug                    ++++++++++++++
  RFXCOM Debug                    processing: 13 84 2 13 187 0 0 198 43 0 3 88 4 64 (0D 54 02 0D BB 00 00 C6 2B 00 03 58 04 40)
  RFXCOM Debug                    Temp sensor 187 now 19.80 degrees and 43 humidity.
  RFXCOM Debug                    ++++++++++++++
  RFXCOM Debug                    processing: 17 90 2 17 137 98 0 0 0 2 83 0 1 53 99 53 196 73 (11 5A 02 11 89 62 00 00 00 02 53 00 01 35 63 35 C4 49)
  RFXCOM Debug                    Energy Usage sensor 35170 now 595.0(W)/Total 23207199.9 (kWh)/
  RFXCOM Debug                    ++++++++++++++
  RFXCOM Debug                    processing: 17 90 2 16 142 50 0 0 0 3 181 0 0 1 61 254 128 64 (11 5A 02 10 8E 32 00 00 00 03 B5 00 00 01 3D FE 80 40)
  RFXCOM Debug                    Energy Usage sensor 36402 now 949.0(W)/Total 93174.9 (kWh)/

From that list the only device that's mine is the last one, the other 4 must be my neighbours. Questions:

1) Should I filter out the devices that are not mine?
2) How do I add a device in Indigo for the last energy usage monitor so I can see the energy usage in a device?

Thanks!

Anyone? How can I get variables and triggers working on these devices?

Re: RFXCOM plugin with energy monitor

have you defined a device for this monitor?

if so you can trigger on a device / state change , just add a trigger:

Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 5.49.01 PM.png (30.68 KiB) Viewed 2701 times

then set conditions

Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 5.50.27 PM.png (43.36 KiB) Viewed 2701 times
(the script is in apple script only)

then in action do what ever you like to do.

if you need more help just post.

Hi Karl, no I have not defined a device since I am not sure how to do that. That's where I am stuck basically.

Re: RFXCOM plugin with energy monitor

Never mind, just figured it out! I just needed to add a new ELECT2 Energy Usage Sensor and use the ID shown in the logs (Energy Usage sensor 52850). Thanks for the help anyway.

Re: RFXCOM plugin with energy monitor

Does anyone know if the EnVir current Cost monitor use the same protocols or if the RFX433 plugin can use the protocols that this device employs? This seems to be the only one that I can find ($120 to monitor 3 channels) and I am unsure if the plugin for Indigo 5 mentioned in the forum from 3 years ago is available or has been updated to work with Indigo 6.
