Time shift

I have a graph working properly but want to plot the data -1d. WhenI type in 1d it sets the data 1 day forward. When I type -1d it does not except the format. Any suggestion as to getting the data to plot for the prior day using the time delay option?

Re: Time shift

Did the suggestion durations in the top right not work for your graph?

I tried this and it worked for me: &from=now-1d%2Fd&to=now-1d

Re: Time shift

Neither of them worked. When I enter them the box is outlined in red meaning not valid

Re: Time shift

I must not be doing something correctly. I go to the panel and choose More, PanelJSON and go down to timeshift option. I change null to what you have on your reply . .... &from=now-1d%2Fd&to=now-1d... and hit the update button. It does not take into the JSON.

What am I doing wrong?

Also tried going to the edit panel and choose Time Range. Under Time shift I tried both -1d and &from=now-1d%2Fd&to=now-1d. Neither are accepted - Reads invalid Time shift on the graph

Re: Time shift

This works for me. I have one chart of last 24 hours, then this setting gives me the 24 hours before that.

Re: Time shift

I am trying to do "-1d" not 1d.

This is what I am trying to accomplish. I am reading water usage every day as 11:59 pm. That variable then gets posted. But since that value stay constant until the next evening at 11:59 pm it posts for the entire next day. I am trying to post it for the prior day to show the water usage on the day it was used.. When I insert 1d chart (first image) the chart gets moved but the data posts to the same day. See two images (the second image is without the 1d time shift

Example. Water usage 12/7 was 202 gallons. Posts as 202 gallons for 12/8. When I use time shift it just shifts the graph nut not the data posting date.

Time shift

I've think I understand, if I get you, you don't want these options. You need something in the actual data query.

The time shift functionality let's you shift the time that is shown compared to what is selected to compare previous day/week.

You want to adjust data to show against a different day to what it was recorded against? That is very different.

Re: Time shift

Also note that the time shift does not work on the Discrete panels. This is the primary reason for needing the "Minimum update frequency" setting in the plugin.
