As I said in the HTTPd-2 thread, when using webhooks you only need to poll for the weather and forecast data, if you use it. You don't poll for sprinkler zone status. In my install, I have the polling interval set to 120 (every 2 hours). And I could make it longer than that, since I don't actually use that data at all.

When you have webhooks enabled, the Rachio servers push zone changes to the plugin (via the HTTPd plugin).
