Get message to send from variable

I have a question regarding sending messages. Is it possible to send a messages with text collected from a variable.
I currently have allot of Appel scripts I'm cleaning up.
One of my scrips sends iMessages with text from a variable.
Using text from a variable is greate, then I can use ONE action to send iMessages and the message is collected from a variable where the trigger writes it's message to be sent.
