Re: Login Failed General Error. fmf{}

Thanks for the reassuring words Glenn.

Yes the green Code button downloads the latest version, with the Download zip button. You need to use the link to make sure you have selected branch 2FA - which is the current one.

No. Sorry, but that download link is the old version. Can you try it yourself?

Login Failed General Error. fmf{}

I must be going bonkers.

But get the same result as you with the old version.

Must have downloaded this code hundreds of times this way…. Wonder whether I’m going bonkers, or whether GitHub changed somewhere / sometime… or maybe it just for plugins that have branches - perhaps this is the only one I have….

Sorry for the trouble, Anway:
have created a new release for 1.2.4
Can download from that tab here:

https://github.com/Ghawken/IndigoPlugin ... /releases/

Still won’t fix the obvious issue of iCloud/fmf not working though.

But if any trial versions working on a fix I’ll post here as well

Re: Login Failed General Error. fmf{}

Thanks Glenn, I'm glad I didn't go crazy... Tried to download this version last 2 days ~ 20 times...
With 35 years of Apple IT experience I still learn every day :D

OK, back to basic.: Installed (finally) the 1.2.4 version.

- Login with the iCloud account with NO TFA keeps giving an error; "Login to Apple Server Failed" and I can't save this Config.
- Login with the iCloud account with TFA: select the "Login iCloud Account" button said this:

==================================================================================================================================

FindFriendsMini Attempting Login to Apple Account:john@icloud.com
FindFriendsMini Account username and password has been verifed by Apple
FindFriendsMini Two Factor Authenication (2FA) is NOT enabled on this account
FindFriendsMini OR this Computer/Device is a Trusted Session. Hence Code not needed
FindFriendsMini This is the ideal setup for iFindFriends
FindFriendsMini Nothing further is required and the account should be functioning
FindFriendsMini Please select options and press Save.
FindFriendsMini ==================================================================================================================================

I can save this account info BUT:

Further on in the log:

FindFriendsMini ==================================================================================================================================
FindFriendsMini Plugin Config is not complete.
FindFriendsMini Please go to Plugin Config Page and re-Login
FindFriendsMini & enter 2FA as required
FindFriendsMini ==================================================================================================================================

Are you sure that the Plugin really works at the moment: does allow options of tracking own devices, and family members?

How can we reset the 2FA settings at this Mac?

John

Good to hear

No at the moment the plug-in doesn’t work. I’ll need to rewrite it if can’t find another fix

OK Glenn, thanks for the fast feedback.
Now I know there's nothing more I can do about it.
And that the digital fate of our family and friends lies now in your hands. :D

Take your time and let's hope you can fix this.

Kind regards,

John

Okay

Have a look at release 1.2.5 in releases tab.

Seems to fix icloud OS15 changes and currently running with usual non-2FA account. (Have also passed on the fix to a few other libraries..)

Use previous non-2FA account and see how you go.

If wish to try 2FA enabled account - can use the Delete account info button down the bottom to reset

Release Notes:
New version beginning support of 2FA - release early because of Apple Icloud changes. 2FA remains a work in progress, would suggest continue with non-2FA account ideally
Change server for icloud to fix recent changes
Fix for logging error
Add Button "Delete Account Details" Below Debug logging details - deletes all saved account info if have issues being resend verification codes.

Glenn, you are definitely the MASTER!
Sorry for the delay, got no message that there was an update at the forum.
Just installed version 1.2.7 with the 2FA account and everything is working perfect again!
Great admiration and respect for your talents!

Thank you on behalf of family and friends!

John
