SecuritySpy server unavailable ('401', 'Unauthorized')

Okay, so I upgraded to the latest version of SecuritySpy, hoping it'd fix my intermittent problems. Unfortunately it now seems worse than ever! :-(

I occasionally see messages saying:
"SecuritySpy server unavailable ('401', 'Unauthorized')

Then I get:
Cynical SecuritySpy Error ignoring trigger_recording action for unready device Back
Cynical SecuritySpy Error ignoring trigger_recording action for unready device Front lawn

Restarting the plugin and SS seems to fix it for a while... I definitely get some recordings happening!

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help debug this - I'm getting a bit desperate!

Ooops. Slight correction - this was with SS 3.0.4... I've upgraded to SS 3.3 and will see how this works.

Re: SecuritySpy server unavailable ('401', 'Unauthorized')

Okay, it's still completely borked.

I have SS 3.3 and the plugin is version 1.6.2.

When I restart the server, and try to trigger the 'record motion' action, I get:
Cynical SecuritySpy Error SecuritySpy server unavailable: ('401', 'Unauthorized')
Cynical SecuritySpy Error Back unavailable: host device SecuritySpy server is unavailable
Cynical SecuritySpy Error Front lawn unavailable: host device SecuritySpy server is unavailable

If I reload the plugin, I see:
Reloading plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.2"
Stopping plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.2" (pid 7271)
Cynical SecuritySpy shutdown sensed
Cynical SecuritySpy Back stopping
Cynical SecuritySpy Front lawn stopping
Cynical SecuritySpy SecuritySpy server stopping
Stopped plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.2"
Starting plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.2" (pid 7273)
Cynical SecuritySpy API version 1.15
Started plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.2"
Cynical SecuritySpy mapping device "Back" 1000400551(camera)
Cynical SecuritySpy Back starting
Cynical SecuritySpy mapping device "SecuritySpy server" 233793176(server)
Cynical SecuritySpy SecuritySpy server starting
Cynical SecuritySpy mapping device "Front lawn" 638063486(camera)
Cynical SecuritySpy Front lawn starting
Cynical SecuritySpy plugin starting asyn operation

Looking in Indigo the device state then is 'preparing' for both front and back camera, and the SecuritySpy Server ... until eventually it changes to 'unavailable' and I see the following again
Cynical SecuritySpy Error SecuritySpy server unavailable: ('401', 'Unauthorized')
Cynical SecuritySpy Error Back unavailable: host device SecuritySpy server is unavailable
Cynical SecuritySpy Error Front lawn unavailable: host device SecuritySpy server is unavailable

Anyone have any suggestions for what I can/should try?

Re: SecuritySpy server unavailable ('401', 'Unauthorized')

And I just read this thread and understood the problem:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=11831

I had forgotten that someone else had changed the SS username - updating the username in Indigo/SecuritySpy Server fixed the problem.

Sorry for the noise!

Re: SecuritySpy server unavailable ('401', 'Unauthorized')

I recently updated the password in SecuritySpy and can no longer connect from the plugin. I don't remember what it was prior to the change so I cannot put it back. I'd like to update the password in the plugin. I've tried to find the password variable in the configuration file but have been unsuccessful.

"Do note that the password will be stored in cleartext in the plugin's configuration file. You may wish to create a specific username/password pair just for Indigo and use that."

Can you explain how to update it?

Disregard the prior post. I found the old password in the Indigo database file.
