No devices found

Hi,
Thanks for the plugin but I get the following:
I am on Indigo 7.0.4 on macOS 10.11.6 with plugin 0.1.15. Btw, I am in Australia, if that matters.

Re: No devices found

I had a typo that resulted in this problem you are seeing.

I think I fixed it in 0.1.16

Re: No devices found

I got the same error but I think it is because we use a different network for the Ring Doorbell (we do that for all of our ioT devices). Is there any way to configure it to use a different network?

Hey PatriciaW,

Can you provide a little more information? I think i am missing something. Please send output from the following commands

ifconfig
netstat -nr
ping -c 4 api.ring.com
traceroute api.ring.com

Thanks

Re: No devices found

I'm having the same problem. I'm running v0.1.18 of the plug-in in Indigo v7.1.1 on an older Mac Mini running MacOS10.8.5.

My Ring doesn't seem to be detected. I ran the 4 commands suggested by mpoulson. Here's the log. Any ideas? Is it possible my Ring is too old? It works with the Ring app, so it's clearly communicating with my network and the cloud.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: No devices found

The issues are not related to network and I don't believe are related to the age of the devices.

Favor if you want to help debug:

1. Make sure you are on latest version 0.1.20 - I added more logging in this version
2. Enable telemetry through plugin configuration
3. Restart plugin
4. Let me know your mac's name (from running' hostname' from terminal)

From there I think i should be able to get the error specifics from the error catcher to debug further.

Re: No devices found

I'm not sure if your previous reply re telemetry etc. is the meant for me because I have telemetry enabled, I installed what I think is the most recent version of the plugin (0.1.18) and I have restarted it several times (actually reinstalled it). My hostname is patriciawarwick$

I have pushed an update 0.1.21 that I think may resolve the issue.

Please try things out and let me know if it works.

That update returns the front doorbell.
Now I need to test it.
Thanks
