Help with "Local Device" type?
Posted: Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:38 amI assumed that I could create a device in Indigo with type "Local Device" and the MAC address of my phone and then potentially get notified when the device comes and goes from the LAN.
I created the device. It shows with state "Inactive" all the time, even as my phone is connected to the LAN. I tried running 'arp -a' on my server machine and I do see my cellphone's MAC in the output. I would have thought that was what it took to be deemed "Active".
Am I doing something wrong? How is this supposed to work?
